Garrett Olson Topples Sr Novice Track record!
Garrett Olson has not been racing long but he sure smashed the Sr Novice track record! Looks like the practice has paid off. Way to go guys!!!!

Hats off to The Vandiver family for breaking the lt 160 track record again!!! Tyler is getting the hang of it. But Mike is getting even more practice putting the engine back together after tech.

Suspension/Chassis Class
We held the first of two suspension/chassis classes. A bunch of interested members showed up. The second is Monday the 25th at 6:30pm. We had a good time teaching and being asked questions. We focused on chassis setup and recommended settings. You are encouraged to bring your car and we can look it over.

RACE CARS STOLEN!!!!
ALERT!! RACE CARS STOLEN!
The Helt family has had thier complete racing operation stolen. Thieves have taken the Helt's trailer and it had everything inside. If anybody see this trailer or anything inside contact Doug at 918-820-0203. Or call 911. I will post more information as I get it. But it looks like Sydneys Jr Honda, and Austin's Sr Honda and Lt 160 is gone. All the safety equipment, tools, spare parts,trailer and much more.
I will post car serial numbers when I get them.

Labor Day Monza Pre-Registration
check out www.region6qma.com and pre-register for the Labor Day Monza. This will help us get a good car count for the races. It does not replace registration at the track nor count for sign in at the track.

Monza Preparation Work Days
It is time to get ready gor our Region 6 Monza Race. We would like to show our out of state racers that we can provide a clean and fun race event. But we need your help. Jeff Abbott is working on a "things to do list". And we will be getting one e-mailed soon.
Work days are Saturday July 19th 7:30 AM and Saturday August 23rd 7:30 AM
Several of the moms have spent a lot of time planning this event. Please help out with what you can.

Kade Faith Wins First "A" Feature!
Way to go Kade! He took the "A" feature win. Also his first "A" feature ever. He was soooo excited. We were all happy to see all the hard work come together. My guess is he probably slept with the trophy.

There was a envelope taped to Ward's truck Friday night. Apparantly there has been an abduction or such. If any of our members knows anything about this let an officer know. Im sure it is all fun and games. Mabye someone can let us in on what is going on.

Hotel Information for Monza
Ramada at I-244 and Garnett, they said they offer a rate of $60 plus tax, just ask for the quarter midget rate. This hotel also offers an indoor pool with breakfast daily.
Sleep Inn on 31st and Memorial said they could offer a rate of $63.99 per night. ask for the AAA rate. This hotel is near several restaurants and in an ok part of town. The hotel has an indoor pool and fee breakfast.
We have made a deal with the Radisson Inn Airport. They are close to the track and recently completed a 5.5 million dollar renovation. Rooms will be $79.00 per night. See the hotel section for contact information.

Work Party Days
We have three work parties coming up. Two will be mandatory per TQMA Rules & Regs. The dates are as follows Saturday, June 21, 2008 , Saturday, July 19, 2008 and Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008 . We would like for everyone to help at each work day, but understand that might not be possible. August 23, 2008 will be mandatory for everyone, and you can pick the other date. Please send an e-mail back letting me know which dates you are available. I will be pairing or grouping men together, so if there is something you would rather do or are good at include that too. I am still working on the list of things that need to be done before our Monza . If you can get back to me today or Friday and I will try to have this put together by Friday night @ the races. We will begin at 7:00a.m. Also, the track will be closed Sat. June 21st and Sun. June 22nd in order to seal the track.

We will meet in the tower @ 10:00 at each of these work days to plan and prepare for the Monza . If there is something you would like to volunteer to do, Angie is heading up the Tower Monza committee, and I am heading up the Concession Monza Committee. We will also be planning for the Monza Raffle tables, so please come share your ideas on these days or by e-mail.

Important Rule Changes
All cars qualifying for a track record will run track fuel. A fuel surcharge per car will be applied at signing for that days race. Both carburetor bowls, fuel tank, and fuel line shall be drained. Fuel line will be disconnected. The tank will be filled with track fuel and sealed. The car will not leave the hot chute area after fueling. After qualifying the engine will be sealed as the car crosses the scales. The engine will be teched after racing in completed. An unsealed car will not be eligible for a track record. Standard QMA penalties will be applied if tech determines there is(are) technical violations. If a car qualifies without track fuel the fuel surcharge will not be applied and the driver is not eligible for the track record. Qualifying points will still be applied.

Official race running order.
As per the June meeting, this is the official race running order. It was done this way to help the program go smoother and quicker. Also on race day the track is open all day to everyone. And at 45 minutes till it is novice only for 20 minutes. And then the handlers meeting is at 15 till. And trophy presentation from the previous weeks race will be during intermission. Not after the race.
